Salmon re-introduction

The Trust was originally formed to progress the re-introduction of salmon to the Trent catchment. Since 2001 a run of adult salmon has been established and successful breeding recorded in the River Dove.

Peak Rivers Restoration

 

We are working with farmers, landowners, statutory bodies and angling clubs to reduce land-use impacts and improve habitats on the upper Dove and tributaries.

Peak Passport - Angling Passport

Arising from the Peak Rivers Restoration Project, this scheme gives visiting anglers access to some great trout and grayling fishing and promotes good stewardship of the rivers by landowners.

Tutbury Weir

Fish Passage

The Trust have been involved in the construction of a large fish pass at Tutbury Weir on the Dove, and are promoting a number of other schemes.

Eel

Improvements for Eels

Eel numbers have declined dramatically over the last 30 years. The Trust is working in partnership with the Environment Agency to deliver targets in the Humber Basin Eel Management Plan.
